CD/DVD MAILER - FOLDER PART TWO

Take you paper which is all cut out and if you have a bone folder and one of these folding/crease making boards go ahead and use it... otherwise just fold all the flaps by hand.
NOTE: The lines, words and numbers are only for reference
on your project no writings/marking lines should be on the paper 

take your double sided tape and place it on both sides of the paper the one section without FLAPS
Now first fold in the TWO side flaps towards the center and position the taped
side over the side flaps, press and secure to make the
pocket for your CD/DVD to go into

Add double sided tape to the sealing flap
if you are going to mail this item
otherwise you do not need to add this strip of tape

You want to mail a CD/DVD here is a great How To Make - your own
You can even Print Out a Picture from your
cd on an 8 1/2 X 11 piece of cardstock or other heavy weight paper and make a very personalized mailer/cd/dvd finder.
Here is what you will need:
8 1/2 X 11 paper
Heavy weight/Cardstock/Scrapbook papers
scissors
double sided tape
mailing label
ruler
optional: bone folder/folding line board

Cut your paper or use any 8 1/2 x 11 size
if you choose to made a mailer with a picture
use your printer now ... placement is touchy so you made need to experiment.
Otherwise you are ready to start marking, folding cutting

Measure in 1 1/2 " from the right and left sides
mark with a pen the full length of the paper

Now mark 1 1/4" from the bottom of the paper
draw a line across the entire width of the paper
make another line 6 3/8" from the BOTTOM of the paper
and make a line across the entire width of the paper
Now make dotted lines as shown in the photo
these are your cutting out line to make your inside flaps and your closing flap

Cut away paper and this is what your pattern should look like

Hot Glue, Buttons and a Sweatshirt

I needed a really quick decorative top to wear to an evening function over the holiday season.
It was only for one night and I didn't want to buy something I would only wear once and only in the dark of the night....so   I found a sweatshirt I bought last spring on clearance for about $2.50 and I found some fun buttons, got out my hot glue gun and had some fun!
Yes, I could have sewed the buttons on, but I didn't.
In the dark nobody knew I used hot glue, remember it was only for one night.
Turned out cute tho....

The buttons above are an example of fun buttons, this company makes all kinds of decorative buttons in all kinds of themes
Items needed for this project   Hot Glue, glue sticks, buttons and a sweatshirt

Finished
After the event was over, I was able to take the buttons off,
scraped the glue off the shirt and button backs
and I can use both another day for some other projects.
I have NO IDEA if the finished sweatshirt with the glued on buttons would make it through the washer and dryer
I chose not to try... remember this article was only to be
worn one night, for one event.
It worked just fine.

Last Minute Chocolate Moose

Simple, Quick Chocolate Moose
1 - 8 oz container of Chocolate Cool Whip (seasonal item)
1 - 8 oz container of regular Cool Whip
1 1/2 to 1 3/4 Cup of Milk
1- 4 oz Box Of Chocolate Jello INSTANT Pudding Mix
Optional Chocolate Shaving for garnish

Make Jello INSTANT Pudding according to package direction to make a 5 minute Pie

After pudding is blended, add the whole 8 oz container of Chocolate Cool Whip and mix together

Spoon Chocolate Mix into serving dishes/glasses of your choice
then add some regular Cool Whip on top of the Chocolate Mix
then garnish if you wish with Chocolate Bar Shavings
Ready to Eat in 5 mins - but much better if chilled for a few hours
This recipe made 6 desserts

Christmas Time is Here

I love this little scene
It just reminds me to
appreciate what we have
it may not be much or it may be
alot
but the end is to appreciate whatever your place is.
I remember a few Christmas' like this, highway workers were cutting down trees, so we went and
sawed off a top of one of the trees and brought that home. I had been saving all our 'wishbones', from the past year and they became our ornaments.
Another ornament was eggs that I had hollowed out and hand painted, another Christmas we decorated the tree with Christmas cards we had received.
One year we were so broke the kids got pencils for Christmas... but someone from Church brought gifts and food and even food for the pets...
Do we give back now that we are a little more prosperous... you betcha!!!
This year I am healthy, last year I was soo sick as
was our dog, Argo.
Both the dog and I went to the docs right after Christmas - we were both diagnose wrong.
It almost cost Argo his life and me it just took
longer to get well.
Argo and I are alive, happy, and healthy this holiday season.
Without Christ in our lives and his blessings upon us I don't know how we would have made it though some really rough times... and I am sure we will go though more.... but as one saying is if you are going through hell ... don't stop... just keep going
I like that...so if your year has been a bit rough and it has been one hell of a year.... don't stop...
just keep going
It gets better - eventually - it really does
